Aston Martin has been proudly honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise, for innovation. Recognising the ultra-luxury carmaker’s unique approach to combining handcraft with the latest technology in the creation of its bespoke leather interiors, Aston Martin has created and patented an innovative perforating and quilting technique that produces decorative finishes and promotes the cooling function on its ultra-luxury leather seats. Supporting the ability for customers to create their own intimately personal Aston Martin, Aston Martin’s proprietary manufacturing technology has enabled perforated holes to be crafted in bespoke patterns to a customer’s specific design, which is impossible with traditional tooling.
Lawrence Stroll, Executive Chairman of Aston Martin said: “As a company with a commitment to innovation, we are incredibly proud to be honoured with this King’s Award for Enterprise, which celebrates both the ingenuity of our craftspeople and the quality of Aston Martin’s bespoke interiors.
“Recognising our combination of handcraft and cutting-edge manufacturing technology, this award highlights the unique composition of our ultra-luxury interiors and how our manufacturing team have gone to extra lengths to ensure the highest level of personalisation is offered to our customers, whilst not compromising on our seat technology’s core functionality.”
The King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, are the most prestigious business awards in the UK. The awards were first established in 1965 and were renamed last year to reflect His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II by recognising outstanding UK businesses. Successful businesses are able to use the esteemed King’s Awards Emblem for the next five years. With this the third time Aston Martin has been awarded the honour since 1998.

Infiniti’s latest offering, the QX55, represents a bold step forward in the world of luxury crossover SUVs. Designed to capture the attention of youthful drivers with refined tastes, this vehicle bridges the gap between sportiness and practicality, elegance and utility. The story of the QX55 is one of inspiration, innovation, and the push to create something truly unique, combining artistic expression with functional design. The Infiniti QX55 is a modern reinterpretation of the coupe-like crossover concept that Infiniti pioneered with its FX series years ago. However, the QX55 adds a fresh layer of sophistication and youthfulness that caters to the desires of a new generation of drivers. The inspiration for the QX55’s design stemmed from a bold challenge between Infiniti’s design team and the company’s visionaries. The goal? To create a practical crossover that retains the luxurious appeal Infiniti is known for while appealing to younger drivers seeking an expressive yet functional vehicle.
The journey to craft the QX55 was not without its challenges. Designers had to strike a balance between dynamic aesthetics and daily usability. Infiniti sought to avoid the common pitfalls of overly aggressive styling that often sacrifices comfort or practicality. Instead, they focused on creating a streamlined, coupé-like silhouette that hints at performance, without compromising on the essential interior space expected of an SUV.
