In a significant move towards sustainable mobility, Bosch Engineering, a leading global supplier of technology and services, and Ligier Automotive, a renowned manufacturer of high-performance vehicles, have joined forces to establish a strategic development partnership. The aim of this collaboration is to create high-performance vehicles powered by hydrogen engines, bringing together cutting-edge engineering expertise and a commitment to environmentally friendly transportation solutions.

The two companies explained that the new hydrogen model based on the Ligier JS2 R will be equipped with a lightweight carbon structure and three hydrogen tanks with a 6-cylinder petrol engine to move the car. During the next two months, the two companies will work closely to develop the new car and prepare it for practical tests on the ground in the summer.

Bosch Engineering will undertake the development of the engine, hydrogen tanks and safety technologies related to the use of hydrogen for power generation, and the company has more than 20 years of experience in the development of super sports cars and special projects in cooperation with other global companies.

On the other hand, Ligier Automotive has deep experience in the world of racing, automotive technology, engine design, and practical tests. In this project, the company will undertake the aspects of developing the car structure and integrating the hydrogen system and cooling systems into the movement system. The central goal of the project is to build a hydrogen car with distinct dynamic performance rates that are similar to sports cars. The traditional car with in-house engines, while showcasing the technical and manufacturing expertise of the two companies, will be unveiled as part of the centenary celebrations of the Le Mans 24 Hours in June next year.
