I love the quiet Mode thing. I really love it. Driver Talk, too, is one of my favorite comfort systems. Let me tell you about them. If you’re a parent, I think that you’ve suffered from the difficulty of communication with your loud and noisy kids when they’re sitting in the back seats, especially when you have many children in a huge 7-seater SUV. Hyundai has found a way to make it easier for you to talk to them without the need of screaming and shouting to make them listen to you when they’re sitting in the back.
The Hyundai Palisade is a 7-seater family SUV. The Korean manufacturer of this lovely car might have thought that they need to put some special features that no other manufacturer would use to make one of the best family cars.
Since the car can fit up to 7 people, it might get a bit noisy in the cabin when you have many people in there. Imagine yourself on a family trip with your 3 kids who are fighting in the back seats and making unbearable noise. Before you panic and get an anxious while imagining, don’t worry. No need to shout at them to calm down. Hyundai has put a microphone in the front inside your cabin, and it transmits your voice easily when you talk to the back seats passengers through speakers. That’s how the Driver Talk Mode cooperates.
If the kids’ example terrifies you, let’s just assume that you’re on a trip with your many friends or family member. You’re driving the car and you have something to tell them, but they can’t hear you because they’re all talking, and the 3rd-row seats are a bit far from you. In situations like these comes the role of the Driver Talk Mode. All you have to do is to swipe left on your touchscreen and activate the Drive Talk Mode. Then, you start speaking, and the people (or your kids) sitting in the rear will hear you through the rear speakers. Then, you can deactivate the system through the screen. If you’re using the navigation while the system is activated and you don’t want to exit the navigation system, you can just press the End Call button on the steering wheel to deactivate the Drive Talk Mode.
This mode is here to keep your kids sleeping like angels in the back seats. The Quiet Mode is a system that keeps the sound of your infotainment system or your music low in the back seats. Sometimes your kids might be asleep in the back seats, so you just don’t want to annoy them but you still want to enjoy the music. Or, sometimes your old grandma doesn’t want to listen to your music that she finds annoying. All you have to do in cases like these is to activate the Quiet Mode the same way you activate the Driver Talk Mode through the screen. By activating it, your rear passengers can rest and sleep in quiet while you can still listen to your music in the front seats. When you press on Quiet Mode to activate it on the screen, a small green light will appear to indicate that the mode is on. This light will disappear to indicate the Quiet Mode is off again when you repress it on the screen to deactivate it.
I gave you the Hyundai Palisade as an example because, as I said, it fits a lot of people and it might get loud in the cabin. However, those two comfort modes, which I think that every parent need, are available in most of Hyundai cars. They are also available in the luxurious Genesis GV80, which I consider one of the top luxurious family cars

Further to Nissans’ recent announcement on it’s trial of innovative automotive paint technology, Harmeet Singh, Aftersales Director at Al Masaood Automobiles commented: “The summer months in the UAE witness high temperatures and humidity, which may ultimately have an impact on vehicles and cause discomfort to drivers – especially if parked outside. Nissan, in line with its commitment to leverage the latest technologies and intelligent mobility systems, is trialling with an innovative automotive paint that can address this issue. This latest technology will not only reduce the temperatures of exterior and interiors of vehicles, but it will also contribute to the reduction in use of fuels. While this new technology is still in the testing phase, it does have a promising potential.”
