The off road SUV market in the UAE just got a serious new contender. The 212 T01, launched by 212 Motors in partnership with Legend Motors, is shaking up expectations with its military inspired toughness, advanced technology, and true adventure focus. Backed by more than 60 years of rugged experience, this all new SUV is built to tackle dunes, mountains, and every challenge in between. Here’s what you need to know about the 212 T01’s debut and what makes it stand out from the pack.
The 212 T01 doesn’t just look tough, it is. Its boxy body, squared arches, and upright panels echo classic off road legends, while LED headlights and a prominent grille bring a modern twist. You get an SUV that is instantly recognizable and ready for real use.
These numbers put the T01 in the same league as established 4x4s, making it ready for desert crossings or mountain trails right out of the box.
Under the hood, the 212 T01 uses a 2.0 liter turbocharged petrol engine that pumps out 185 kW (248 hp) and 410 Nm of torque. This power is managed by an 8 speed automatic transmission and a part time four wheel drive system, complete with front and rear differential locks for challenging terrain.
This setup lets the T01 handle tough climbs, deep sand, and rocky paths with confidence, while staying comfortable enough for city roads.
Step inside the 212 T01, and you get a mix of rugged old school charm and modern convenience. The cabin is trimmed in premium leather, with heated and massaging driver seats, electric adjustments up front, and plenty of practical storage for all your gear.
The T01 keeps you connected with a pair of big screens — a 12.3 inch infotainment display and a 10.25 inch digital instrument cluster. You get dual navigation, phone mirroring, Bluetooth, and an 8 speaker audio system. A 50W wireless charger keeps devices powered, while a 360 degree camera with underbody view makes tight spots and tricky terrain much less stressful. Over the air software updates mean your SUV keeps getting better with time.
