Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, the Dubai International Baja, organised by the Emirates Motorsport Organization (EMSO), will held from 20 to 23 November.
The event, serving as the finale for both the FIA World Baja Cup for cars and the FIM Baja World Cup for bikes and quads, marks the conclusion of the Middle Eastern motorsport season. Over the years, the Dubai International Baja has earned a reputation among fans and competitors as one of the toughest yet most stunning events on the international off-road calendar. As registration closes in less than two weeks, excitement is rising for the season’s ultimate showdown. This year marks the ninth edition of the Dubai International Baja in its current Baja format—46 years after its debut in 1979 as the Dubai Rally. As one of the UAE’s and the region’s oldest and most established motorsport events, the Baja is celebrated for its challenging terrain and unique desert landscape that tests even the most skilled competitors. Starting from its now-iconic base at Dubai Festival City, participants will journey through the scenic beauty of Hatta in the Hajar Mountains for the Prologue stage, before tackling two intense days of racing through the Al Qudra desert dunes. The event is backed by strategic collaboration with Dubai Government entities, including Dubai Police, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), and Dubai Municipality, along with Al-Futtaim Toyota, the Official Automotive Partner. Registration closes on 6 November, after which the contenders aiming to follow in the footsteps of the 2024 champions — Nasser Al Attiyah (cars), Konrad Dabrowski (motorcycles), and Abdulaziz Ahli (quads) — will be revealed. H.E. Khalid Ben Sulayem, President and Board Member of EMSO, stated: “The Dubai International Baja has solidified its place as the final round of the Bajas World Cup calendar, and we are proud to welcome the season finale back to the UAE. Each year, the event continues to grow, attracting top-tier talent from around the world, and we look forward to celebrating the 2025 champions here in Dubai.” He added: “We extend our deep gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for his unwavering support and visionary leadership, which have been instrumental in establishing the Dubai International Baja as one of the premier global motorsport events. Our collaboration with the Dubai Government, FIA, and FIM reflects our shared pursuit of excellence, ensuring a world-class event that combines safety, excitement, and spectacle. Returning once again to Dubai Festival City, this year’s edition revisits last year’s popular Hatta Prologue, offering breathtaking terrain and a striking setting for both competitors and spectators. This fusion of innovation and tradition promises an unforgettable 2025 Dubai International Baja, reinforcing Dubai’s standing as a leading destination for world-class motorsport.”
