Festival Car Concours d’Elegance Becomes a FIVA Premiere Event: The Official Recognition at Rétromobile 2025

After the success of its first three editions, the Festival Car Concours d’Elegance is back for its fourth edition with several new features. The location remains the same: on 28th September 2025 the event will take place in the splendid village of Revigliasco Torinese, in the city of Moncalieri, with a unique format in the panorama of international Concours d’Elegance events. Starting from 2025, Festival Car becomes an international Concours d’Elegance. During the 49th edition of Rétromobile in Paris, FIVA, the highest organization in the world of classic vehicles, awarded Federico Ferrero, Founder of Autoappassionati.it and creator of Festival Car, with a recognition that certifies the international status of the Turin Concours d’Elegance. Specifically, the Festival Car Concours d’Elegance becomes a FIVA Premiere Event, and this testifies the growing prestige of the event. Ferrero received the certificate from Ramin Salehkhou, FIVA Vice President of Communication, to confirm that Festival Car respects FIVA’s mission, outlined in the 2012 Turin Charter, which is based on three pillars: protection, preservation, and promotion of classic vehicles. “Receiving this recognition from FIVA is a very proud moment, not only for me but for the entire team that has made the growth of the Festival Car Concours d’Elegance possible,” stated Federico Ferrero, creator and organizer of the Festival Car Concours d’Elegance, during the delivery of the prestigious certificate. “When we launched this event in 2022, our goal was to create a Concours that was not just a celebration of classic cars, but an experience capable of enhancing the territory and engaging the public through passion.

The inclusion of the Festival Car event in the international FIVA calendar as a Premiere Event represents an important milestone, confirming the quality and relevance of our concours on a global scale. This recognition strengthens our commitment to preserving and promoting the automotive heritage, following the principles of FIVA’s Turin Charter. I would like to thank FIVA for this prestigious recognition and the people who have contributed to the Festival Car success: the organizers, the collectors, the public, and all local institutions. We look forward to the 2025 fourth edition enthusiastically, we are ready to provide an even more special experience for enthusiasts and consolidate the Festival Car among all the great international Concours d’Elegance.” According to Ramin Salehkhou, Vice President of Communications, and Malcolm Grubb, Vice President of Events at FIVA, “The registration of the Festival Car Concours d’Elegance represents a microcosm of the benefits and recognition that come from registering an event with FIVA. We look forward to working closely with the organizers and offering our full support, both from the communication perspective and the delegation of a Steward.”

Festival Car 2025: Exclusive Itinerary and Parade Celebrate Classic Cars

To confirm the international spirit of the Festival Car Concours d’Elegance, the organizing committee has planned an exclusive program to allow collectors coming from afar to participate and fully experience the Festival Car. A three-day itinerary, starting on Friday 26th September: the Concours d’Elegance guests will be offered the opportunity to visit the Royal Castle of Moncalieri in the afternoon. On Saturday 27th September, the day will begin with a guided tour of the Stellantis Heritage Hub, followed by a trip to Vicoforte and a delicious lunch in the beautiful frescoed hall representing the “Cena di Emmaus”. In the afternoon, we’ll provide a guided tour of the Regina Montis Regalis Sanctuary, one of the main masterpieces of Piedmontese Baroque, which was declared a national monument in 1880. Visitors will admire the monumental Basilica that has the world’s largest frescoed elliptical dome, rooms of the former monastery, the monks' refectory, the cloister, and the choir. In the evening the group will be back in Moncalieri. This will be an enjoyable weekend immersed in culture and passion for automobiles. Regarding the Concours d’Elegance, it can be confirmed that the Tour d’Elegance will take place, a spectacular parade where 80 vehicles will drive through the scenic roads of the Turin Hill, arriving in Revigliasco Torinese and positioning themselves along the village streets, creating a unique show that blends history, charm, and connection to the territory.

The entire town will be festively decorated, with all the classic vehicles placed along the picturesque streets of the pedestrianized village, allowing visitors to admire closely the cars that have shaped the automotive history. The Moncalieri’s Mayor, Paolo Montagna stated: “We are proud that Festival Car, an event conceived from the intuition and passion of one of our citizens, has received such a prestigious international recognition, positioning itself among the excellences of our country. The City of Moncalieri will continue to support this initiative that enhances the world of car design, a distinctive element of our identity”.

Marino Briccarello, Pro Loco Revigliasco Torinese President, added: “The prestigious international recognition for the Festival Car makes us proud. Over the years, the event has grown thanks to the collaboration between Autoappassionati.it, Pro Loco Revigliasco, and the City of Moncalieri. The combination of cars and our village is a winning formula, encouraging us to work even harder to elevate the event”. The day will be filled with music, entertainment, and street food, culminating in the awards ceremony, where the winning cars in various categories will be announced.

As usual, for the 2025 edition, the Festival Car will count on a jury with the best experts in the automotive industry: the best car designers, engineers and experienced judges will carefully evaluate all car models in order to award all different categories. For the second year in a row, the winner of the “Best of Show”, the most important award of the event, will receive an exclusive trophy designed and created by Giugiaro Architettura in collaboration with Alcantara. There will also be the Rock, Pop, Senior e Top Class categories, but the official list of the members of the jury and all the categories will be revealed close to the event. One of the major highlights of the fourth edition is the collaboration with the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED), allowing one of its students from the Three-Year Course in Transportation Design to design the official event poster. Paola Zini, IED Torino Headmaster stated “We are proud to collaborate as a school in designing the creativity for an event with such an international importance that enhances a crucial territory for the automotive history with innovation and prestige. IED wholly operates in the automotive industry and this partnership represents an important occasion for our students, offering them direct contact with the main representatives in the automotive and car design industry”.

The Festival Car poster will have all the features of the event: starting from the Revigliasco Torinese village that will enlighten the students' creativity. The main character of the poster will be the 1960 Lancia Flaminia Loraymo, a unique vehicle from the Stellantis Heritage Hub collection, and one of the stars of the Festival Car Concours d’Elegance. Born from the pencil of the American designer Raymond Loewy - the “father” of the Coca-Cola bottle as well as numerous automobiles, trains, and everyday objects - the Lancia Flaminia Loraymo was built by Turin-based coachbuilder Rocco Motto. It stands out for its eccentric and unconventional lines. Powered by a 2.5 V6 engine derived from the Flaminia Coupé, the car was fine-tuned by specialist Nardi, increasing the six-cylinder engine’s output from 119 to 150 hp. Presented at the 1960 Paris Motor Show, the Lancia Flaminia Loraymo was Loewy’s personal car in both Europe and America. A few years after his passing, the vehicle was rediscovered by the President of the Lancia Club of America, who decided to donate it back to the Borgo San Paolo-based company, bringing it home. The appointment is set for 28th September 2025, for the fourth edition of Festival Car, which will crown the successor of last year's Best of Show, the 1952 Lancia Aurelia B52 Coupé Bertone, a unique car created by the famous designer Giovanni Michelotti.
