The Super Tourer is a new category created by Aston Martin for its DB12, and of course, during the test drive, we will talk about the Aston Martin DB12, especially since Aston Martin celebrates its 110th year this year. Its inception and 75 years of DB style. Throughout history, and at every major change in Aston Martin’s philosophy, it always coincides with a new style in its DB cars.

The Super Tourer is a quantum leap from the GT class to a higher class of luxury and sportiness while preserving the comfort of the GT for daily driving. What does that mean? This means that the Aston Martin DB12 is faster and more fun to drive than the previous DB cars, and it is also more luxurious and comfortable at the same time. Thus, Aston Martin has changed the rules of the GT car game with the Aston Martin DB12.

Honestly, I cannot give my personal opinion on Aston Martin's designs. I cannot hide my admiration for its designs, but the Aston Martin DB12 has outdone itself in every detail.

In the front, you find that the spirit of Aston Martin is present strongly with the enlargement of the front grille compared to the DB11, and therefore, of course, allowing more cooling of the mighty engine under the hood.

The hood, which in turn took on an aggressive character with the addition of lines to its design, highlights the aggressiveness alongside the all-new headlights, which also used artificial intelligence in its design giving the Aston Martin DB12 a special character, whether during the day or night.

As for the side, the first thing you notice is the widebody on the car, especially from the rear, and the 21-inch wheels with a wonderful design. Inside the rims, you will notice the first-ever usage of carbon ceramic disc brakes on a DB car, in addition to the adoption of special Michelin tires dedicated to the DB12.

Not to forget the adoption of the Golden Ratio in all Aston Martin's DBs: one-third by two-thirds, which is the symbol of beauty in designs and mathematics.

From the rear, of course, a wider and more beautiful car with new lines, new lighting, and even a new rear spoiler with a sporty rear bumper and exhaust tips ready to tremble the ground when the Super Tourer passes by.

Our car is parked in the most beautiful landscape, an artistic visual from another world, simply an integrated painting between what man invented and what nature embodied, but what we will share on the inside cabin’s changes reflects the real change in the culture of Aston Martin.

We opened the door, which, by the way, is always distinctive in Aston Martin, and we sat in the interior cabin, specifically in the driver's seats, and we immediately realized the radical change in all the details.

I will not go into all the details, because that needs an article of its own, but The most important changes are the design and shape of the new audio system from Bowers & Wilkins, changing the gear buttons to an elegant knob and also a complete change in the center console to give the driver more and easier control of the most important features of the car such as controlling the driving modes or the exhaust sound and even the suspension system and others.

But the big surprise was the screens, so the traditional meter clocks turned into a digital screen with important information for the driver during the driving process, especially in the Sport + system, and also a central screen with an entirely new infotainment system developed by Aston Martin, in addition to a large number of updates related to communication, and of course there is no need to mention luxury, Alcantara, and leather, as we are talking about Aston Martin.

Of course, the choice of the wonderful place affects my opinion of the car, but I believe that even if we choose any road, we will enjoy driving the Aston Martin DB12.

We switched on the engine, and the sporty sound of the V8 roared announcing a great journey, you can always reduce the roaring sound with the press of a button, but for me when the mechanical valves open, it prepares you with its thunder for the journey of a lifetime.

I decided to start the journey with a comfortable driving style, as we started inside the village in the French countryside, and I can confirm that the driving was very comfortable, as we drove for more than an hour. We arrived at these wonderful mountain roads reminiscent Monte Carlo Rally stages so I switched to Sport + driving mode, and unleash a complex machine between the 4.0-liter twin-turbo eight-cylinder engine producing 671 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque capable of accelerating from 0-100 in 3.6 seconds, but The madness did not come from the engine alone, rather as well from an advanced adaptive air suspension, as well as from the fast closing and opening system of the differential lock, and of course, the 410mm carbon ceramic disc brake which gave us a chance to do late braking, the feeling was racecar-like in every sense of the word.
