The Italian company that organizes the 1000 Miglia, also known as “The Most Beautiful Race in the World” – and Octanium Experiences LLC announce the winners of the 2024 event are Roland Hotz and Giordano Mozzi, claiming a well-deserved victory in their 2017 Porsche 911 GTStreet R. The awards were presented to them at an expansive gala dinner held at the Conrad Hotel in Abu Dhabi, held under the auspices of the UAE Ministry of the Interior and in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.

Italian Mozzi celebrated his third successive overall win at the 1000 Miglia Experience UAE – this year, partnered by Swiss national Roland Hotz. In second position overall were Saudis Adnan Nouh and and Zyad Al Arfaj, behind the wheel of their 1975 Porsche 911 Carrera MFI). Securing bronze and their first time on the podium in two event were Americans Jeff Gault and Rafaele Conti, who drove brilliantly in their 1955 Jaguar XK140.

In the 1000 Miglia category for 1000 Miglia-Registered vehicles built between 1927 and 1957, it was another win for Americans Gault and Conti, followed in hot pursuit by Polish duo Marian Stoch and Bartosz Balicki driving one of the oldest vehicle in the event, a 1928 Chrysler 75 Sport Roadster. In third place, another first as Yevgen Sokolovskyy became the first Ukrainian to claim a medal in the event, driving his resplendent 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing.

Always hotly contested by some very competitive racers, this year the honors for victory in Classic Icons (for cars built between 1927 and 1976) went to the young Saudi pair of Nouh and Al Arfaj, their second medal of the event. German Thomas Fischer and Swiss Andre Emil Ehrbar secured the silver honors in their 1928 Bentley 4.5 Le Mans, while third place was another great finish for Poland with Marius Juszczyk and Artur Moscicki driving to a well deserved podium place in their 1974 BMW 3.0CS.

With 46 registered entries, the competition was especially fierce in the Contemporary Icons Class for cars built post-1976. Victory was clear once again for Hotz and Mozzi in their 2017 Porsche 911 GTStreet R, while it was second time lucky for Moroccan Hanan Sobati and Brit Charlotte O’Brien who fought hard to secure their silver medal in their 2020 Alfa Romeo Guilia – and in the process, become the first all-female team to win a place at the 1000 Miglia Experience UAE in three editions. Last but certainly not least, Brit Anar Rzaev and Azeri Aysel Rzayeva claimed third position in Contemporary Icons driving a 2024 Morgan Plus Six.

The coveted Hero of the Rally Trophy went this year to famed Indian vintage car collector Yohan Poonawalla who overcame considerable mechanical challenges with both his 1975 Jaguar E-Type and his 1964 Lincoln Continental to successfully finish the event. Similarly, Spaniard Miguel Llorente earned the new Kindness Award for donating a crucial component to another team in need.
