Pagani Automobili returns to the spotlight at the Historic Minardi Day, taking place on September 13-14 at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari International Circuit in Imola: a unique stage hosting historic and modern cars like Formula 1, prototypes, GT , and single-seaters. For this ninth edition, Pagani will present three Hypercars in a static display, each representing a defining chapter in its history: the Zonda F, the Huayra Codalunga, and the Utopia, and will offer the public the thrill of seeing the Huayra Roadster BC on track.
Among the highlights of the exhibition is the Zonda F, produced in just 25 Coupé and 25 Roadster. In 2007 it set the production car record on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, completing the 20.6 km lap in 7’27”82. The “F” pays homage to Juan Manuel Fangio: one of Formula 1’s greatest legends and a mentor to Horacio Pagani, who, fifty years earlier on that very track, signed one of the most extraordinary feats of his career with a superb comeback that paved the way to his fifth world title. This Zonda is a rare gem, not only for the unique shade of its bodywork but also for the story it carries: the friendship between Horacio and its first owner, Benny Caiola. A discerning collector of supercars and Atelier Pagani’s very first customer in 1999, Caiola inspired the creation of chassis no. 057 and its bespoke color, “Bianco Benny.” The interior reflects Pagani’s signature sartorial mastery: from the Nardi steering wheel to the refined wooden trims, up to the dashboard inspired by the artistry of haute horlogerie. Weighing just 1,230 kg, the Zonda F showcases painstaking engineering and the use of advanced materials such as carbon fiber, aluminum alloys, titanium, and Inconel.
Also featured is the Huayra Codalunga, conceived by Pagani’s Grandi Complicazioni division as a tribute to the timeless forms shaped by Italian coachbuilders and the racing cars of the 1960s. Limited to just five examples, it stems from the Huayra Coupé, its proportions elongated as though its silhouette had been sculpted by the wind. An exercise in purity and subtraction, the Huayra Codalunga is defined by a select few essential elements, each meticulously crafted. The result is a dry weight of only 1,280 kg and remarkable aerodynamic efficiency, thanks to its sleek, tapered profile. Its four variable-profile flaps represent the latest evolution of active aerodynamics—a technology first introduced in 2011 and continually refined with each new model. The uncluttered rear reveals the titanium exhaust, weighing a mere 4.4 kg. Its ceramic coating recalls the endurance racers of Le Mans, while the symphony released through the four signature tailpipes becomes a pure expression of automotive passion. Colors and materials, too, are a tribute to the Sixties: exterior paint flowing seamlessly into the cabin, structural elements proudly displaying exposed carbon fiber, and upholstery crafted from aged leathers with woven leather-suede details. A continuous dialogue between functional elegance and the memory of artisanal gestures makes the Huayra Codalunga a timeless work of design.
The Utopia heralds the third era of Pagani Automobili, expressing a rare balance of simplicity, lightness, and pure driving pleasure. Its bodywork, crafted entirely from exposed carbon fiber, unites with a monocoque in Carbo-Titanium HP62 G2 and Carbo-Triax HP62. Advanced technologies—active aerodynamics, electronically controlled dampers, and double wishbone suspension in aerospace-grade aluminum—deliver unmatched handling and stability. At its core beats the Pagani V12 60° 5,980 cc twin-turbo, developed by AMG to exclusive specifications, delivering 864 HP (635 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 1,100 Nm of peak torque from 2,800 to 5,900 rpm, without any hybrid support. Maximum grip comes from Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS tires, specially developed for Utopia, measuring 265/35 R21 at the front and 325/30 R22 at the rear, combining track-level performance and on-road confidence. Inside the cabin, even time seems to stand still: analog instruments and a 7-speed manual gearbox provide the driver with the most intimate connection to the car and the asphalt. Production of the Utopia Coupé is limited to 99 units. At the event, the Huayra Roadster BC—the natural heir to the record-setting legacy inaugurated by the Zonda—will take center stage on track. Unveiled in 2019 as an entirely new Roadster project, it distills emotion, elegance, and cutting-edge technology into just 1,250 kg. Limited to 40 units, it remains a creation reserved for a select circle of connoisseurs worldwide. Four years of development, thousands of testing hours, and the Pagani team’s unwavering dedication have given birth to a car in which even the most hidden component is the ultimate synthesis of engineering, design, and technology. It is powered by an updated Pagani V12, capable of delivering 800 HP and 1,050 Nm of peak torque from as low as 2,000 rpm, tested over more than 300,000 km by seven prototypes on roads and the world’s most important circuits, in every climate and condition. Paired with the Pagani by Xtrac 7-speed transverse sequential gearbox, it transfers the full power of the V12 to the ground with uncompromising responsiveness. Designed for the track yet crafted for the road, the Huayra Roadster BC offers immediate confidence and complete control, accompanied by the unmistakable voice of the new six-tailpipe titanium exhaust system. This Hypercar captivates at first glance, and inside, every detail reveals the artisans’ craftsmanship: exclusive materials such as carbo-wood and embossed leather merge with racing elements, including a four-point harness. On September 4, 2020, at Spa-Francorchamps, it recorded a lap time of 2’23’’081, setting a new benchmark for road-legal cars. The project received the ADI Compasso d’Oro at the 27th edition of the award, in the Mobility Design category, with Horacio Pagani personally accepting the honor.
