Goodwood Festival of Speed 2025 delivered another unforgettable chapter in automotive history, as the world’s most iconic brands chose this global stage to unveil their latest creations. From British convertibles and hybrid hypercars to off-road icons and futuristic electric sedans, this year’s lineup combined classic performance with next-gen innovation. Here are five of the most striking debuts that stole the spotlight.
Aston Martin lit up the event with four major reveals. The DB12 Volante brought open-air elegance to the brand’s luxury GT range, using a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 to deliver 680 hp and a 0 to 100 km/h time of just 3.7 seconds. The Vanquish Volante upped the ante with a twin-turbo V12 engine producing 835 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. In the SUV space, the aggressive DBX S emerged as the most powerful DBX yet, with 727 hp and enhanced styling. Finally, the Valhalla hybrid supercar, inspired by Formula 1 tech, made its UK debut with a combined output of 1,079 hp and a top speed of 350 km/h.
Land Rover revealed two bold interpretations of the Defender legacy. The Defender Octa Black turned heads with its all-black exterior and rugged 643 hp V8, featuring advanced off-road suspension. For classic adventure fans, the Defender 110 Trophy Edition paid homage to the Camel Trophy era with exclusive colors like Dark Sandglow and Keswick Green. It offers hybrid powertrains and a full suite of expedition-ready accessories for true outdoor exploration.
Ferrari made waves with a trio of powerful premieres. The front-engine 12Cilindri, with its 6.5L V12 and 836 hp, revived the spirit of GT legends like the Daytona. The 296 Speciale pushed hybrid performance further with sharper dynamics, while the new Ferrari Amalfi stepped in as the Roma’s successor, blending a twin-turbo V8 with a fully reimagined interior. But the true headline was the Ferrari F80, an ultra-advanced LaFerrari successor generating 1,200 hp through a hybrid V6 setup, designed with endurance racing in mind.
The Lamborghini Temerario roared into Goodwood as the official successor to the Huracán. This all-new supercar pairs a twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors to produce a combined 920 hp and a stratospheric 10,000 rpm redline. With a lightweight aluminum chassis and cutting-edge hybrid tech, it represents the next generation of Raging Bull performance and design.
Audi rounded off the festival with a powerful update to its flagship EV. The RS e-tron GT Quattro now holds the title of Audi’s most powerful production car ever, reaching 811 hp. Though restrained in appearance compared to other supercars on display, it marks a major leap forward in EV performance and proves that silent speed can still stir the soul.
