Ford is once again celebrating its rich heritage with a new special-edition Bronco, paying homage to its iconic Baja racing history. Hot on the heels of the retro-themed Free Wheeling Package, Ford introduces the 2025 Bronco Stroppe Special Edition—a two-door, V6-powered off-roading beast that channels the spirit of Baja racing from the 1960s and 1970s. Named after legendary racing driver and engineer Bill Stroppe, who built the original Baja Broncos, this new edition is more than just a nod to the past; it’s a modern off-road powerhouse with style to match.

The Bronco Stroppe Special Edition stands out immediately with its striking livery. All models feature a bold orange-and-white color scheme, topped with a blue roof—an unmistakable tribute to the iconic Baja Broncos of yesteryear. Ford uses its signature "Code Orange" color, a hue previously exclusive to the Bronco Raptor family, marking the first time it's been applied to another Bronco model. The matte black hood and rear gate, along with special branding inside and out, further add to the visual appeal.

Ford’s design team carefully crafted this color combination to echo the Bronco R race trucks used in Baja competitions, where the Bronco returned to the desert racing scene in 2020. As North American Design Director Gordon Platto explains, “That combination of Code Orange, Oxford White, Atlas Blue, and matte black was chosen very deliberately on our race vehicles. It’s an iconic design, and the history behind it is so important to the modern Bronco.”

Built for Off-Road Performance

While the Stroppe Special Edition grabs attention with its appearance, its performance credentials are equally impressive. It’s based on the Wildtrak model, meaning it comes equipped with Ford's Sasquatch package as standard. This includes high-clearance HOSS (High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension) with internal bypass dampers and massive 35-inch tires mounted on black 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels. The vehicle also features a stabilizer bar disconnect for enhanced off-road articulation.

Under the hood, the Stroppe Special Edition packs a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, delivering 315 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. This power is channeled through Ford’s advanced four-wheel-drive system, making it more than capable of tackling the toughest terrains.

True to its roots as a Baja tribute, this Bronco comes only in a two-door configuration, ensuring a lightweight and nimble driving experience. The addition of unique side steps with integrated rock rails further enhances the vehicle's off-road readiness while maintaining its rugged, race-inspired aesthetic.

With the 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Special Edition, Ford has masterfully blended the past and present. The stunning Baja-inspired livery and Wildtrak-based performance package make it a fitting tribute to Bill Stroppe’s legendary Baja Broncos. Whether you're an off-road enthusiast or a collector of unique vehicles, this special-edition Bronco offers an unbeatable combination of style, heritage, and capability—ready to conquer any trail or make a statement wherever it goes.
