Liwa, located in the Al Dhafra in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi, is famous for its golden dunes, endless vistas, and hidden history where families can discover a treasure trove of exhilarating experiences.

The Liwa International Festival started on December 8 and continued until December 31. The allure of the desert landscape has been harnessed to become the ideal setting for a variety of activities.

Among these activities, the Liwa Village an oasis of fun in the middle of the desert thrill and adventure. Liwa Village is divided into seven sections, the first of which is “The Valley”, which contains outdoor seating for relaxation and interactive theatre. The second is “The Oasis”, where you can enjoy many cafes and restaurants that serve you delicious Emirati food. The third is “The Carnival”, which is a suitable section for family gatherings. You can enjoy many games and entertainment shows, and the fourth section is dedicated to fans of the “PUBG Mobile” game, and there you can enjoy many adventures in the world of video games with your friends.

Then we reach the fifth section, which is “the Souq,” where you can enjoy more cafes, foods, and shops to obtain your heritage souvenirs, then we reach the final section, “du theater.” where you guessed it is where all the concerts and live shows took place.

This event blended Emirati heritage with entertainment and fast-paced experiences, attracting motorsport and motorcycle enthusiasts, nature lovers, culture seekers and families alike.

From falcon, camel and horse races to monster truck challenges. And that wasn't all, as we also enjoyed camping under the twinkling stars, live music, theater performances, local food trucks; In addition to pottery, henna and Emirati cultural performances. This further confirms that the Liwa Festival activities are full of something suitable for all ages.

Known for its expansive deserts,  Moreeb Dune, which dominates the Empty Quarter, towering sand dunes line the sky and bring with them countless possibilities for fun. This hill, which is more than 300 meters high, is considered one of the tallest sand dunes in the world. It is certainly, as you would expect, a favorite destination for thrill-seekers . This is what actually happened at the Liwa Festival, where a variety of events were held at Moreeb Dune, such as the “Moreeb Dune Champion” competition, in which some of the most famous professionals and enthusiasts participated, to experience an exceptional and unforgettable adventure in Sand Dune Drag Racing.

One of the main attractions of this year's Liwa Festival was its hosting of the Monster Jam races, exciting races that featured monster trucks of 5 tons and over competing head-to-head in a series of different competitions. The event also included motocross craziness, which dazzled us with their bold and amazing movements. We were also able to attend the pre-show party, which gave attendees an unmissable opportunity to get up close and personal with the monster trucks, meet the talented drivers, and get information about how the powerful trucks are prepared for competition.
