In 1971, an AMG legend marked the first milestone in terms of racing for the iconic Aufrecht Melcher Großaspach engineering firm, AMG. The car was called the Red Pig, or the Red Sow, because of its big eye-catching grille and red paintwork, which was covered with AMG stickers, 35 number stickers, and sponsors yellow stickers. This legendary car was the Mercedes Benz 300 SEL AMG 6.8, a luxury sedan made by Mercedes and tuned by AMG.
Almost 51 years ago, AMG entered their Red Pig in the 24 Hours of Spa, and the car made a class victory by winning the second place. This win made AMG recognizable and the company continued to tune Mercedes cars until the AMG team and the Mercedes team joined their efforts to make Mercedes-AMG cars.
In tribute to the Mercedes Benz 300 SEL AMG 6.8 legend, the Mercedes AMG has launched the AMG Heritage collection and translated the legacy in clothes and items to be worn every day. The collection includes jackets, t-shirts, accessories, keychain, and more. It was made for you to wear your AMG clothes proudly, and these are not any clothes. These are the clothes that revive the memory that marked the beginning of the Mercedes-AMG era.
The collection includes a sporty, casual men’s jacket in black and yellow, and it is made of recycled polyester. It has a yellow-knitted neck stripe, and a black and silver AMG badge on the chest in addition to a 35 number badge on the left sleeve. Another item made of recycled polyester is a comfortable grey sweatshirt that it also has a yellow-knitted neck stripe. It is made from organic cotton, and it contains AMG and 35 badges to mark the legend’s history, in addition to a huge AMG historic badge on the chest in the middle. Even men’s T-shirt is made of combed organic cotton. This one comes in white/yellow. It contains an AMG silver lettering on the back of the neck, an AMG big badge in the front middle, and a 35 badging on the left sleeve. Men’s wear are available for sizes between XS and XXXL.
Comfortable Polo T-shirts are available for men and women to wear for having fun on a vacation day. It would be the perfect fit for you while riding your Mercedes AMG car on a hot Sunday with your other friends in a Sunday Ride. Men Polo t-shirts are available in grey with a yellow neck detail, an AMG silver lettering on the back of the neck, a yellow stripe around the neck, an AMG badge on the chest, and a 35 number woven badge on the left sleeve. Same design goes to women Polo t-shirts, for the latter are available in white. For women, you can find the Polo t-shirts between the sizes XS and XL, while for men, they’re available between the sizes XS and XXXL.
If I were a true AMG fan, (well, I am), I would definitely get an item of the new AMG Heritage collection. The collection includes a comfortable baseball cap in black and grey made of 100 percent cotton. If you don’t like caps, you can get a yellow-colored leather keychain with an AMG badge in the middle of it for your Mercedes-AMG car. It would made the key fob looks really nice. For small errands in town, you can also have your AMG shopping bag that comes in white and grey and yellow contrasting stripe. It is made of cotton and comes with a closing zipper.
