Pioneering Innovation in Electric Racing

Pioneering Innovation in Electric Racing

As an evolution of the current GEN3 race car – the world’s fastest, lightest, most powerful and efficient electric race car ever made – the all-electric championship is set to raise the bar even higher with this latest iteration that will be pushed to the limit by the series’ world-class drivers across seasons 11 and 12.

Building on the world’s first race car specifically designed for street racing, the GEN3 Evo is set to deliver even better wheel to wheel racing. With improved performance characteristics that highlight Formula E and the FIA’s role in pioneering technology and sustainable motorsport, the GEN3 Evo is set to deliver a step-change in on-track action and driver rivalries.

Jeff Dodds, Chief Executive Officer at Formula E, said: “As we prepare to unveil the GEN3 Evo, we're not just launching a car; we're continuing to shape the future of racing. This next iteration not only exemplifies our dedication to innovation and pushing the limits of technology but also enhances our commitment to delivering exhilarating, competitive racing for our fans. We are setting new standards in performance that will intensify on-track rivalries and fan engagement, keeping us at the forefront of global motorsports.”

Aston Martin aims for 20th class victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans as new Vantage GT3 makes debut

Aston Martin’s new Vantage GT3 is all set to make its debut in the world’s most famous endurance race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, this weekend (15-16 June), as the ultra-luxury British sportscar manufacturer targets an incredible 20th class victory at the event.

Two examples of the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, which shares the mechanical architecture of the new Vantage road car unveiled earlier this year at Silverstone, and which is built around Aston Martin’s proven bonded aluminium chassis and powered by its fearsome twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine, will contest the ‘twice around the clock’ race in central France. Both will compete in the new-for-2024 LMGT3 category as Aston Martin continues to lay the groundwork for its return to the top class with the Valkyrie AMR-LMH in 2025.
