  • Can 700 hp really be improved? SEMA says yes
  • Can classic cars be green without losing their soul?

Las Vegas turns into a playground of imagination each year during SEMA, and in the second episode of Motor283’s special tour, we dive into the most extreme American builds on display. From carbon-bodied Hellcats to drifting Mustangs and electric Camaros, SEMA 2025 proves that boundaries are made to be broken in the world of custom cars.

If you thought a Dodge Challenger Hellcat was already powerful, think again. Tuning legends like Speedkore and Hennessey took things to another level at SEMA 2025. These cars shed their original shells in favor of full carbon fiber bodies and gained twin turbo setups pushing output to over 1000 hp.

But it wasn’t just about raw power. Adjustable suspension systems, 20-inch alloys, and race-level brakes transformed these monsters into sci-fi machines ready to hit the road.

Meanwhile, a custom Ford Mustang GT went from pony car to drift beast. It was completely stripped out, reinforced with a pro chassis setup, and tuned with a 900 hp V8. Japanese anime-inspired paintwork gave it a unique East meets West attitude, showing how American muscle can slide with the best of them.

Kindig-it Design stole the spotlight with a jaw dropping 1969 Camaro that ditched its original engine for a cutting edge 800 volt electric system, making 650 hp. On the outside, it stayed true to vintage lines. But step inside, and you find a modern cabin with digital gauges and hidden LED lighting that felt like stepping into tomorrow.

It proved that classic American muscle can evolve for a cleaner future while honoring its roots.

Among the sea of mind blowing cars, one wild creation stood out for its humor and boldness. A 1994 Chevrolet Caprice was transformed into a mini circular truck with a fully rotatable front body. The front half of the car could spin 360 degrees.

Inside, even the seats rotated with the wheel. Add in a hydraulic sound system, and the result was a hilarious yet genius twist on show car engineering. It was part art piece, part comedy sketch, and completely unforgettable.
