Cadillac Celestiq: The Ultra-Rare EV That Redefines American Luxury

06 May 2025
  • Why is the Cadillac Celestiq produced in such low numbers?
  • How does the Celestiq compare to Rolls-Royce and Bentley?

In the world of high-end electric vehicles, few names spark intrigue like the Cadillac Celestiq. With a starting price of 340,000 USD and hand-built craftsmanship, this American-made EV isn't just aiming for the luxury segment, it’s targeting its very peak. Produced in extremely limited numbers and packed with next-generation technology, the Celestiq steps into the spotlight not only as Cadillac’s flagship EV but as a statement of exclusivity and innovation.

Exclusivity Like No Other

Exclusivity Like No Other

Unlike mass-market models, the Celestiq is designed for a select clientele, with each unit tailored through weeks of custom planning. Cadillac’s performance chief, Tony Rom, confirmed that production will be capped at around 250 units per year, making it as rare as a Bugatti Tourbillon. This puts the Celestiq in the league of hyper-exclusive vehicles, crafted not for the mainstream but for those who expect rarity and prestige in every detail.

Its bespoke nature isn’t just about numbers. Each Celestiq is hand-assembled in Michigan, a rarity in American automotive manufacturing. From paint choice to interior layout, the client’s vision drives the build, ensuring no two Celestiqs are the same.

Luxury That Rivals the Elite

Luxury That Rivals the Elite

Cadillac boldly enters the ultra-luxury battlefield with the Celestiq, targeting brands like Rolls-Royce and Bentley head-on. With dual electric motors producing 650 horsepower and an estimated weight of 2,850 kilograms, the Celestiq delivers both elegance and power. Built on GM’s Ultium platform, it also represents the future of the brand’s electrification strategy.

Inside, the car boasts features worthy of a private jet: a panoramic smart glass roof, a full-width digital dashboard, a 38-speaker AKG sound system, heated armrests, and the Super Cruise autonomous driving system. Every element speaks to a level of comfort and technology rarely seen in production cars.

With production numbers kept intentionally low and features that push the limits of tech and comfort, the Celestiq makes a bold statement; it’s not just a car, it’s Cadillac’s vision of future luxury.
