Lucid Motors has just been named the Best Luxury Electric Vehicle Brand for 2025, a major achievement for a company that has been building cars for only a few years. Despite having just two models, Lucid is topping the charts and grabbing attention from established names like Tesla, BMW, and Porsche.
Founded in 2021, Lucid Motors entered the market with the Air sedan, followed by the Gravity SUV in 2024. In just four years, both vehicles have set new standards for luxury, acceleration, and charging speed. The Lucid Gravity earned a perfect score of ten out of ten in U.S. News & World Report’s latest review, while the Lucid Air was close behind at 9.3 out of ten. These scores reflect Lucid’s commitment to delivering top tier performance, fast charging, and standout efficiency that appeals to drivers who want both luxury and advanced technology.
U.S. News & World Report considered several factors in ranking luxury electric vehicle brands for 2025. Their evaluation looked at each car’s overall expert ratings, safety, reliability, and the changing landscape of electric vehicle pricing and regulations. Lucid came out on top thanks to the quality and innovation found in both its models. Rivian, BMW, Genesis, Tesla, and Porsche were all ranked highly, but Lucid’s rapid charging and exceptional performance set it apart. With both models carrying luxury price tags but still delivering the best scores in the class, Lucid is leading the way for what premium EVs can be in 2025.
