Polestar, the Swedish electric performance car brand distributed by Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility in the UAE, has implemented its most recent over-the-air (OTA) updates for the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 models.
The Swedish brand uses over-the-air (OTA) software updates to enhance its cars without the need to visit a service centre. This ongoing evolution ensures that customers can expect their car to improve over time.
The Polestar 3’s latest software update introduces a range of improvements, including the new audio experience Abbey Road Studios Mode, optimised charging convenience, and enhanced driver assistance features that deliver smoother everyday usability.
Abbey Road Studios Mode offers a listening experience inspired by the iconic London recording studio while on the move. It provides four new presets and a Producer mode, allowing users to tailor the sound to their personal preferences.
Polestar 3 drivers can use the Smart Charging Schedule. This feature optimises charging to be planned according to the driver’s convenience while also improving battery protection. Additionally, the charging settings can be linked with location-specific settings in the Polestar app.
Polestar 3 users can now enjoy an enhanced Pilot Assist thanks to the addition of Curve Speed Assist. This added feature helps the Pilot Assist with automatic speed adjustments in curves, improving the usability and driving comfort.
Just as with the Polestar 3, the Polestar 4 receives frequent over-the-air (OTA) software updates. The latest version for Polestar 4 introduces smarter driver assistance, improved customized options, and refined stability to make every drive smoother and more intuitive.
An edit button is added to the Favourites app and the Shortcuts widget offering the driver a more convenient way to customise the centre display to have all required shortcuts at hand.
Car Wash Mode, available in Polestar 4 since launch, has been improved and will now turn off the vehicle’s parking sensors so that they do not react to objects while driving through a car wash.
Just as with the Polestar 3, the latest over-the-air (OTA) update for the Polestar 4 brings improvements to Pilot Assist for smarter lateral control and more natural cornering. When drivers engage Adaptive Cruise Control it is now available in a wider speed range, all the way up to 180 km/h, while also offering a more natural acceleration and braking experience.
Krishn Latchan, Head of Retail Polestar UAE, says: “This latest round of software updates is a testament to Polestar’s commitment to our customers. Most of the updates have been prioritised based on real-life customer feedback and Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility’s aftersales technicians, who are the highest certified EV technicians in the country. I’ve never seen a brand gather feedback and so quickly deploy updates to their car. This is why buying EVs through Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility is so powerful. Al-Futtaim is the leader in Automotive, and we are able to leverage our power and expertise to give customers peace of mind when switching to new energy vehicles.”
Polestar’s approach to evolving its software ensures that customers enjoy the latest advancements without disruption, keeping the driving experience fresh and state-of-the-art.
