The luxury automaker has confirmed that an all-electric version of its popular Cayenne SUV is officially in the works and is expected to arrive after the electric Macan and 718 sports car.

According to Porsche, the electric Cayenne will be built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, which is being co-developed with Audi. The PPE platform will allow for a range of up to 700 kilometers (435 miles) on a single charge, making it one of the most capable electric SUVs on the market.
The electric Cayenne will also feature advanced technology such as 800-volt fast charging, which will allow for a quick charge to 80% capacity in just 15 minutes. Porsche has also promised that the electric Cayenne will deliver impressive performance, with the ability to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3.5 seconds.
