Toyota is shaking up the compact SUV segment in Saudi Arabia with the launch of the 2026 RAV4. It brings bold new styling, upgraded tech, and a complete shift to hybrid power. With the 2025 RAV4 already popular across the Kingdom, many buyers are wondering if the 2026 model is worth the wait. Here’s a full look at how the two versions compare in design, performance, features, and price.
The 2026 RAV4 adopts a new Hammerhead front design, inspired by the latest Camry, and comes in three front-end styles. The Core design is clean and city friendly, the Sport trim adds red accents with available GR Sport upgrades, while the rugged Woodland trim offers blacked-out styling and extra ground clearance.
Compared to the 2025 version, which had just one soft-edged front design, the new model looks more muscular and modern. Wheelbase stays the same at 2690 mm, but overall length slightly increases to 4618 mm on GR Sport and Woodland trims. This makes the new RAV4 feel more planted and upscale on Saudi roads.
Toyota is phasing out traditional gas engines in the 2026 RAV4. Unlike the 2025 model which came with 2.0L and 2.5L gasoline engines plus hybrid options, the new lineup goes fully hybrid and plug in hybrid.
In Saudi Arabia, the 2025 hybrid makes 214 hp in front wheel drive and 219 hp in all wheel drive. The 2026 version boosts this to 226 hp and 236 hp respectively. There’s also a new plug in hybrid option making 320 hp with a towing capacity of 1588 kg, doubling that of the regular hybrid. This upgrade is perfect for outdoor lovers and weekend getaways across the Kingdom.
Inside, the 2026 RAV4 gets major tech upgrades that Saudi drivers will notice right away. The standard infotainment screen now measures 10.25 inches, with an optional 12.9 inch display in higher trims. This is a big leap from the 2025 model, where base trims had only an 8 inch screen.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard across all trims in 2026, while in 2025 this feature depended on region and trim. The digital driver display also improves, now 12.3 inches standard in all trims, compared to being limited to upper trims and not always available in Saudi specs in 2025.
Other updates include heated and cooled front seats, heated rear seats, and more memory and power adjustments for the driver. All this makes the 2026 RAV4 feel more premium for Saudi buyers looking for advanced comfort and connectivity.
Toyota has not officially announced the Saudi price yet, but global pricing suggests it will start around 127,500 SAR.
The 2025 Toyota RAV4 starts from 99,935 SAR including VAT, with price varying by trim.
Yes, the 2026 model includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard across all trims.
The hybrid plug in version of the 2026 RAV4 can tow up to 1588 kg, while regular hybrid models still tow up to 794 kg.
