Toyota is raising the bar for hybrid SUVs in Saudi Arabia with the reveal of the all new RAV4 2026. Packed with bolder styling, better tech, and fully electrified powertrains, this SUV marks a major step up from the 2025 model. With RAV4 2025 still hugely popular across the Kingdom, many buyers are wondering if they should go for the current version or wait for the 2026 update. Here’s a closer look at what’s new and how these two models compare in terms of pricing, power, and features.
Toyota RAV4 2025 is already available in Saudi showrooms with a wide variety of trim options and powertrains. The range starts at 99,935 SAR for the base LE 4x2, climbing up to 151,800 SAR for the top LTD 4x4 HEV model. For buyers wanting a hybrid experience, multiple HEV trims are offered starting at 117,070 SAR.
As for the upcoming Toyota RAV4 2026, official pricing for Saudi Arabia hasn’t been released yet. However, global estimates place the base model at around 127,500 SAR. That suggests a noticeable bump in price, which may be justified by the 2026 version’s complete shift to hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains, plus all the design and tech enhancements it brings.
RAV4 2025 delivers a mix of traditional and hybrid power, including a 2.0 liter engine with 170 hp and a more powerful 2.5 liter engine with 204 hp. Hybrid models produce up to 219 hp with all wheel drive. It offers decent towing and fuel economy, but it's clearly more of a transitional setup.
RAV4 2026 leaves gasoline-only engines behind, embracing a future driven by hybrid tech. It offers 226 hp with front wheel drive and 236 hp with all wheel drive. The biggest jump is in the plug-in hybrid version, which delivers 320 hp and can tow up to 1588 kg. That’s double the pulling power of the standard hybrid version and ideal for Saudi drivers who love off road trips or weekend camping adventures. This is more than just an update, it’s a serious power upgrade.
The RAV4 2026 takes interior comfort and infotainment to a new level. Standard models now come with a 10.25 inch infotainment screen, while higher trims feature a massive 12.9 inch display. That’s a big leap from the basic 8 inch screen found on entry level 2025 models. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard across the entire 2026 range, whereas they were only available on top trims in 2025.
A fully digital 12.3 inch driver display is now standard too, plus front seats with heating and cooling, rear heated seats, and power memory adjustment for the driver. These comfort and tech boosts make the 2026 model feel more premium and aligned with the needs of Saudi buyers who value high spec and convenience in every drive.
