Nissan is making waves in the Chinese car market with the all new N6 Plug In Hybrid, a sedan that gives drivers Altima level space for even less than the price of a Versa. By teaming up with Dongfeng, Nissan is offering a big, stylish car packed with tech and comfort features that are usually reserved for much more expensive models. With a starting price of just fifteen thousand dollars, the Nissan N6 is already turning heads and putting pressure on rivals in the hybrid sedan world.
The Nissan N6 might surprise buyers with its generous proportions. Measuring 4,831 millimeters in length and riding on a 2,815 millimeter wheelbase, this sedan is nearly as long and roomy as the well known Altima, even though it is priced below smaller models like the Versa. With a trunk capacity of 570 liters, it is ready for family trips or city errands. Nissan designed the N6 with a sleek look inspired by the N7 electric model, but the two cars do not actually share body panels. The result is a car that sits right in the heart of the midsize segment but with an entry level price tag that resets expectations for value in the Chinese market.
The N6 stands out with a plug in hybrid system that combines a gasoline engine and an electric motor, but most daily driving relies on the electric side for a smooth and quiet ride. The total system output is 208 horsepower with 320 newton meters of torque, letting the car sprint from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour in just 6.8 seconds. The 21.1 kilowatt hour LFP battery delivers up to one hundred eighty kilometers of electric range on the CLTC cycle, which makes the N6 one of the fastest and most usable hybrids in its segment.
Buyers can choose from three trims: Pro, Max, and Max Plus. All offer the same performance but step up in luxury. Even the Pro version gets seventeen inch wheels, ambient interior lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and dual digital screens. The Max Plus adds a fifteen point six inch display, an AI Zero Pressure driver’s seat with massage, advanced anti motion sickness tech, facial recognition, and a Snapdragon processor for ultra fast infotainment. Pricing starts at fifteen thousand five hundred dollars but drops to fifteen thousand during the launch, making the N6 cheaper than both the N7 electric sedan and the American market Versa. Local rivals like the Geely Galaxy A7 and BYD Qin L offer lower prices, but Nissan is betting on advanced tech, refined interiors, and a modern hybrid system to win over buyers who want more than just a low sticker price.
