In 2025, the UAE is not just welcoming new residents, it is becoming the global capital of wealth and luxury. Nearly 10,000 millionaires are expected to move to the country this year, bringing billions of dollars in fresh investment. The impact is clear on the roads. From bespoke Rolls Royce models to limited edition Lamborghinis, luxury cars are no longer rare sights in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Backed by DubiCars data, the story of this new era shows how migration and demand are reshaping the premium car market.
The Henley Global Citizens Report reveals that 9,800 millionaires are relocating to the UAE this year, more than any other country in the world. Along with them comes an estimated 63 billion dollars in new wealth. Traditional hubs like the UK are seeing outflows, with 16,500 wealthy individuals leaving, many redirecting to Dubai. The city has doubled its millionaire population in the past decade. These high net worth individuals are fueling demand for luxury cars, buying everything from exotic Ferraris to armored G Wagens.
Luxury car demand is at an all time high. Over half of all new car sales in the country are SUVs and premium vehicles. DubiCars data shows nearly 39 percent year over year growth in this segment from 2023 to 2024. Demand is strongest in Dubai, followed by Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The 600,000 to 1 million AED bracket has grown by over 100 percent in early 2025. Chinese brands are also making waves, with BYD, Xiaomi, Tank, and Avatr recording major growth. At the same time, German, Japanese, and American luxury brands remain strong sellers.
Dubai and Abu Dhabi are home to the world’s largest luxury car showrooms. These include the biggest Mercedes Benz dealership in Abu Dhabi, the largest Bentley space in Dubai, and the world’s largest McLaren showroom also in Dubai. Rolls Royce bespoke models find more buyers here than almost anywhere else. The UAE is not only importing but exporting luxury cars, with resellers becoming major redistribution hubs thanks to favorable re export policies and logistics. Looking ahead, 15 to 30 percent of all new cars sold in the UAE are expected to be electric by 2030. With millionaire migration and booming demand, the country is cementing itself as the global capital of automotive luxury.
