2024 Peugeot 2008 Facelift Debuts With More Powerful E-2008

French automaker Peugeot has officially unveiled the 2024 Peugeot 2008 Facelift, which is set to make waves in the electric subcompact crossover market with its powerful and efficient performance. The new model boasts several upgrades and improvements, including a more powerful E-2008 electric powertrain and a larger battery pack for an improved range.

The 2024 Peugeot 2008 Facelift features a sleek and sporty design with sharp lines, bold contours, and an aggressive front fascia. The vehicle's exterior has been refreshed with new LED headlights, taillights, and a revised front grille, giving it a more modern and dynamic appearance. The car's overall length and wheelbase remain the same, but the front and rear tracks have been widened for a more stable ride.

The fully electric E2008 will supply the electrical system present in its two sisters, the 208, in its updated version and the new generation of the 308, represented by an electric motor with a capacity of 156 horsepower and a battery with a capacity of 54 kWh instead of those 50 kWh that existed previously, increasing the range of travel on a single charge from 345 km. to 405 km.

The updated 2008 also comes with a new hybrid class that includes a 136-horsepower petrol engine supported by an electric one with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission to save 15% of oil consumption, as Peugeot expects users of this category to rely on the fully electric mode in 50% of their rides inside the city.

Gasoline versions of the Peugeot 2008 continue to be available globally, represented by the choices of the three-cylinder engine with a capacity of 1200 cc turbo with a power between 100 hp and 130 hp, while the eight-speed automatic transmission will be used.

Peugeot is preparing to introduce the updated 2008 in the second half of 2023, provided that the fully electric version will be presented next year.
