With more than 250,000 visitors from 190 countries and nearly 7,500 exhibitors across four days, the event broke all previous records and solidified its place as the must-attend event for anyone shaping the future of cars.
This year’s show was all about scale and depth, bringing together manufacturers, suppliers, tech companies, and decision-makers from every continent. The exhibition took over 383,000 square meters, featuring everything from classic internal combustion tech to cutting-edge electric vehicles and smart connected cars. New energy and smart connectivity sectors stood out with advancements in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, powertrain controllers, and advanced driver assistance systems. Other fast-growing sections included auto electronics, sensors, diagnostics for electric vehicles, custom accessories, and lightweight high-strength tires.
Major global brands like Bosch, Continental, ZF, BorgWarner, Goodyear, Siemens, and Toyota Boshoku shared the floor with Chinese leaders like BYD, GAC Aion, Chery, and Li Auto, fueling new partnerships and future collaborations. The full-service approach gave visitors a look at the entire auto value chain, from R and D to manufacturing, distribution, and aftermarket services.
Beyond the show floor, Automechanika Shanghai 2025 was a massive knowledge hub. More than 450 speakers led expert forums, panels, and workshops, discussing everything from connected cars and regulatory trends to AI, low-carbon mobility, and future talent development. Special supply-demand matching programs helped connect manufacturers and suppliers, boosting both regional and global cooperation.
The event also offered a platform for hands-on learning and real-time problem solving, with 94 side events focused on everything from electric vehicle diagnostics to lifestyle trends in car customization. Media coverage spanned Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas, underscoring Automechanika Shanghai’s unique status as the auto industry’s main crossroads for innovation and strategy.
