Donkervoort P24 RS: The Dutch Supercar With a Ford GT Heart

25 Jan 2026
  • Why did Donkervoort choose a Ford GT engine for the P24 RS?
  • How does Ex Core carbon fiber technology make the P24 RS one of the lightest cars on the road?

The Donkervoort P24 RS is shaking up the sports car world with its wild mix of Dutch engineering and American muscle. This all new machine brings together a super light carbon fiber chassis, cutting edge tech, and the kind of power you usually only find in a Ford GT. Only 150 of these cars will ever exist, making it one of the rarest and most hardcore driving experiences money can buy.

V6 Power Redefined

Breaking away from their tradition of Audi engines, Donkervoort dropped a 3.5 liter twin turbo V6 from the Ford GT into the P24 RS. This engine, specially tuned by Van Der Lee Turbo Systems, cranks out up to 600 horsepower and 796 newton meters of torque. The driver can actually dial the power output between 400, 500, or the full 600 horses, making it adaptable for everything from street cruising to full on track days.

Matched with a five speed manual gearbox, the P24 RS goes from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in under 2.5 seconds, and it reaches 200 kilometers per hour in just 7.3 seconds. Thanks to a featherweight body under 780 kilograms, this supercar achieves a jaw dropping 770 horsepower per ton power to weight ratio. The P24 RS also features fully adjustable suspension and can pull up to 2.3 Gs in the corners, offering a pure and electrifying connection between car and driver.

Donkervoort’s secret weapon is Ex Core, a pioneering carbon fiber process that allows them to mold ultra strong and lightweight components without massive ovens. This tech, which is also being used in Toyota race cars and luxury yachts, uses foam injection to create durable parts that cut down on weight and boost performance. The P24 RS also boasts 3D printed metal pieces, like its exhaust tips, and comes with removable aero wings for those who want extra downforce on track days.

Inside, the P24 RS is all about the essentials. Despite its aggressive look, the cockpit actually fits drivers up to 2 meters tall, and a removable targa roof lets you drive open air. There’s a digital display instead of a traditional infotainment system, and even the handbrake is now electronic, freeing up space for storage and a surprisingly practical 250 liter trunk. Pop up headlights and a minimalist dash highlight the unique blend of old school cool and futuristic touches.
