At the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Ringbrothers took center stage by unveiling the Kingpin, a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 reborn as a modern engineering marvel. Combining classic muscle with state of the art upgrades, this custom build delivers supercar power, aggressive style, and hand crafted luxury that wowed car enthusiasts from around the world. Let’s dive into the highlights of this head turning project.
Ringbrothers started with a full teardown of the original Mustang, rebuilding it from the ground up on a modern Roadster Shop unibody platform. This switch from a body on frame to a unibody structure brought new levels of stiffness and handling. The chassis features a dual arm suspension with Fox RS coilovers for balanced comfort and sharp performance, while lightweight HRE wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires provide outstanding grip.
Every body panel was subtly reshaped. The front was widened by two inches and the rear by 3.5 inches, creating a planted, powerful stance. The wheelbase grew by 1.5 inches for added presence. Carbon fiber is everywhere, on the roof, sills, and rear wing, trimming weight while adding an exclusive, athletic touch. The custom lighting and bumpers keep the car’s classic Mustang DNA front and center.
Beneath the hood sits a 5.0 liter Coyote V8 from Wegner Motorsports, topped with a Whipple supercharger. The result is an incredible 800 horsepower delivered to the rear wheels through a six speed manual Bowler transmission. This combo produces a raw, classic muscle car sound but with the fierce power of a modern supercar.
Thanks to this setup, the Kingpin can go head to head with cars like the Dodge Demon 170 and Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 while keeping that unmistakable Mustang character. Ringbrothers did not just boost the power, they made sure the driving experience stayed authentic and wild.
Inside, the Kingpin is a showcase of hand built quality and modern tech. The cabin features Dakota Digital gauges, a high end Vintage Air climate system, and a unique 3D printed dashboard. Even the roll cage is seamlessly integrated so it doesn’t interrupt the car’s refined look.
A custom steering wheel, plush leather seats, and over 5,500 hours of skilled labor create an interior that feels like a luxury studio. Unlike previous wild Ringbrothers builds, the Kingpin goes for a more understated style without sacrificing craftsmanship or comfort. The result is a car that merges the best of classic Mustang heritage with today’s cutting edge design and technology.
