While the Suzuki Swift may look like a typical city hatchback, its Dutch-imported AllGrip FX edition rewrites that assumption with a bold twist. Equipped with a functional all-wheel-drive system and practical overland-inspired upgrades, this little car is now ready for more than just urban traffic. Designed to appeal to adventurous drivers who want capability without the bulk or the price tag, the Swift AllGrip FX makes off-road flair more accessible than ever.
The Suzuki Swift AllGrip FX shows off a rugged side thanks to a series of smart visual and functional upgrades. Topping the list is a Thule roof rack fitted with a spare wheel, snow chains, and expedition-ready accessories—ideal for maximizing the car’s limited 265-liter cargo space. The styling enhancements continue with a front LED light bar from Tralert integrated into the grille, shiny plastic fender extensions, blacked-out Suzuki and AllGrip badging, and protective rubber detailing on the rear bumper.
Completing the package are versatile all-season tires sized 196/55R16 wrapped around black aluminum wheels. Inside, the car features upgraded leather upholstery, durable rubber mats, and Dometic-branded coolers and storage boxes, perfect for impromptu trips beyond the city.
Under the hood, the FX relies on a naturally aspirated 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine producing 82 horsepower, supported by a 12V mild hybrid system and mated to a manual gearbox. While modest on paper, this setup keeps things simple and efficient. What elevates the Swift is its AllGrip AWD system, which kicks in when front wheels slip, transferring torque to the rear via a viscous coupling.
Although it lacks the suspension travel of full-blown SUVs, a 32 mm ride height increase courtesy of its larger tires gives it just enough ground clearance for snow or dirt paths. It’s no Suzuki Jimny, but it’s a practical option for drivers who crave occasional off-pavement fun without venturing into full SUV territory.
