Porsche is rewriting the electric SUV playbook with the launch of the Cayenne Electric 2026. Not only is this the second fully electric SUV from the legendary German brand, but it is also the most powerful production Porsche in history. Combining jaw dropping horsepower, state of the art tech, and unmistakable style, the Cayenne Electric brings serious energy to the luxury SUV market.
Buyers now can choose between two all electric Cayenne models. The standard Cayenne Electric delivers 402 horsepower in daily driving and up to 435 with launch control. For those who want supercar levels of performance, the Turbo Electric model cranks out 844 horsepower under regular use and hits a wild 1139 horsepower with launch control, reaching 100 kilometers per hour in just 2.4 seconds. This is more than an SUV, it is a quiet powerhouse that puts even many sports cars to shame.
Under the floor, Porsche fits a massive 800 volt battery system with up to 400 kilowatt charging capability. That means you can go from ten to eighty percent charge in just sixteen minutes at high speed chargers. The regenerative braking system can capture up to 600 kilowatts, and for everyday stops, the motors handle almost all the braking. Porsche even offers wireless charging up to eleven kilowatts using a special floor pad, a move that hints at a cable free future. Range is estimated around 640 kilometers, with more numbers to come.
The Cayenne Electric looks like a perfect blend of Porsche DNA and fresh thinking. The exterior design borrows from the sleeker Macan Electric with a smooth front, rounded rear, and sharp LED lighting, while still feeling unmistakably like a Cayenne. Some say it looks almost like a concept drawing, but it carries Porsche’s heritage clearly.
Inside, the cabin is a showcase of digital luxury without losing its Porsche identity. There is a 14.3 inch OLED gauge cluster, a curved central display, and a separate 14.9 inch screen for the front passenger. Porsche keeps real physical buttons for the essentials like audio and climate, while the seats are sporty yet comfortable for daily use. Every touchpoint feels high end, making it a perfect match for tech focused drivers.
The Cayenne Electric starts at 111,350 dollars, while the Turbo Electric goes for 165,350 dollars. Both models are expected to reach customers at the end of summer 2026, and pre orders are now open.
